Getting Around

Gyeongju is compact and walkable for central sites, but renting a bicycle is highly recommended for covering more ground efficiently. The city has excellent bike paths and rental shops throughout. Local buses connect outer sites like Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto. Taxis are affordable for longer distances. Most visitors arrive by KTX train from Seoul, Busan, or other major cities. The train station is about 10 minutes from the city center by bus or taxi.
